PERSONAL BASELINES

Everybody's normal is different.

Resting heart-rate variability varies enormously between healthy people — comparing you to a population average throws away most of the signal. Cadence measures you against your own baseline, for your own time of day. A flat baseline compares your 4am with your 4pm and calls the difference fatigue.

WHAT WE REFUSE TO DO

The hard part isn't reading a heart rate. It's knowing when the sensor is wrong.

A moving vehicle produces exactly the kind of plausible-looking noise that turns into a confident wrong answer. When signal quality drops, Cadence stops scoring, falls back to the prediction, and says so on screen.

It abstains

No score is better than a made-up one.

It won't fake precision

Some sensors only report an averaged heart rate. We won't turn that into beat-to-beat data it never measured.

It stays quiet

Nudges need agreement across several readings, and there's a long quiet period between them. Never while you're moving, unless you asked for it.

Nothing reaches a fleet unless you personally turn it on, and you can turn it off again whenever you like.

FOR FLEETS

A driver who hasn't opted in shows you nothing at all.

A manager sends an invite code; the driver enters it; the account links. And then nothing happens unless that driver personally consents. A linked driver who hasn't opted in appears as a member with no data — absent, not zeros. It's checked on the server every single time, and every access is logged.

A fatigue tool drivers don't trust is a fatigue tool drivers don't wear.

We'd rather tell you what isn't finished.

Flightdeck's predictive readiness works today. Cadence's live engine is built and running, and we're collecting the real-world data needed to calibrate it properly — from drivers on real shifts, with reaction-time tests to check it against. Until that's done, the app is honest about what it's showing you and how sure it is.
